Online fidget spinner vs bubble wrap vs click counter

A spinner, bubble board, and click counter can all support repeated input, but they do not ask you to do the same thing. This comparison describes what the current FidgetStation demos actually do so you can choose by control pattern and visible result rather than by an unsupported claim that one option is best for everyone.

Spinner: repeat one control and watch rotation

The public spinner centres the interaction on one button. Pressing the spinner or the separate Spin button starts a deterministic full turn; repeated presses add turns. A Reset button returns the demo to its starting state. Its main feedback is animated rotation, so it is the most motion-led of these three public examples.

Bubble wrap: move between 24 independent buttons

The public bubble board contains 24 labelled buttons. Each bubble can be popped once until the board is reset, and the visible total moves from 0 of 24 towards completion. There is no required order. This creates a changing pattern across many targets rather than repeated input on one fixed control.

Click counter: repeat one control and watch a number

The click counter also uses one main button, but it does not rotate. Every deliberate press adds exactly one to the visible total, and Reset counter returns the number to zero. You can set your own stopping point or use it without a target; the demo does not add a timer, random outcome, lives, or reward to the count.

The key difference is the state that changes

With the spinner, the state you notice is movement. With bubble wrap, it is which individual targets have changed and how many remain. With the counter, it is a single cumulative number. That distinction is more concrete than labels such as relaxing or satisfying, which depend on the person and are not outcomes FidgetStation can guarantee.

Keyboard, touch, mouse, and trackpad use

All three demos use native labelled buttons. The spinner and counter can be activated from one focused control using Space or Enter; bubble-wrap users move among the individual bubble buttons and activate them separately. Touch, mouse, and trackpad input are also supported. The bubble layout may require more target changes, while spinner and counter keep the main action in one place.

Reset behaviour and public-demo boundaries

Each page provides a visible Reset action, so you decide when to start again. These public interactions need no account, payment, or download. Their state is not saved, and a press never awards Spark, unlocks a sticker, records verified progress, or triggers a purchase. Signed-in library features and commercial access are separate.

When a fourth interaction is worth trying

If rotation, multiple pop targets, and a numeric count are not the input pattern you want, the digital stress-ball demo adds press-and-hold deformation followed by release. It is another real browser control rather than evidence that one interaction has a medical, therapeutic, or performance benefit.
